Cada una de estas piezas sugiere un mundo ficticio nostálgico.Estos collages juegan con la historia o cambian el papel estereotipado de los personajes principales representados en los iconos.Aquí, Merinero utiliza gran diversidad de materiales gráficos reales, como, por ejemplo, ilustraciones de cajas de cerillas de los años sesenta, fotografías de revistas femeninas, cubiertas de novelas semi eróticas y periódicos viejos, que él convierte en plantillas.

For these collages Merinero uses widely varying existing graphic material from around the world:sixties matchbox illustrations, photos, covers from semi-erotic novels, and old newspapers, later these are converted into stencils.
