Historias de un sol viajero.
Merinero ve el atardecer desde un solar al lado de San Francisco el Grande en el centro de Madrid. Con ojos casi cerrados se imagina lo que ahora se ve reflejado en una serie de 14 collages: Historias de un Sol Viajero.
El leitmotiv son los rayos del sol, su abanico de colores y la promesa de volver por la mañana para ser testigo de historias todavía desconocidas.
La tierra da vueltas. El sol la baña en luz y la alimenta, sin embargo Merinero interpreta la omnipresencia del sol como una maravillosa y envidiable capacidad de poder viajar y ver el mundo todos los días.
Con plantillas, vallas publicitarias recortadas y pintadas ha unido una serie de personajes, tipografías y fondos recogidos durante viajes en Asia y Europa. Con estos collages Merinero nos cuenta, lo que a el le hubiera gustado que el sol hubiera visto: un mundo lleno de luz y ternura.

Stories of the Travelling Sun
Merinero enjoys the sunset from the vacant lot next to San Francisco el Grande in the centre of Madrid. He gazes through squinted eyes and imagines what he has reflected in a series of 14 collages: Stories of the Travelling Sun.
Leitmotif are the setting sun’s rays and colour range and its promise to return in the morning to witness stories yet unknown.
The earth rotates. The sun bathes her in light and feeds her, yet with these collages Merinero interprets the sun’s omnipresence as a wonderful and enviable capacity of being able to travel the world everyday.
Through stencils, cut out and painted paper from billboards he has united a range of characters, typographies, and backgrounds gathered on numerous travels in Asia and Europe. With these collages he tells us what he would like the sun to have seen: a bright and tender world.
