TRIP (made in Asia) consists of a projection of hundreds of pairs of portraits and photos of details of landscapes and objects. The photos are edited to the rhythm of a soundtrack composed with ambient sounds recorded in Asia as well as samples of classical and contemporary Asian music. Short texts invite the spectator to observe the images from various perspectives.
The aim of the installation is to transmit the sensations we have when we start dealing with the overwhelming amount of information we have received during a stay in Asia. It both takes the audience on an imaginary introductory “trip” and seduces the audience to look at Asia from a non-stereo typical angle.
